RunSmart: A Comprehensive Approach To Injury-Free Running

RunSmartUp to 60% of runners will sustain an injury within any given year. Poor running mechanics, in conjunction with poor, ineffective and outdated training methods, can pose a significant injury risk. The book "RunSmart: A Comprehensive Approach To Injury-Free Running" was initially released on May 1, 2008 to address these issues in the running community. RunSmart Training Group: This is a free training group that meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:45pm at RunTex Riverside. All runners are welcome. Further information on the group can be found here.

RunSmart Track Club: This is a paid track club that meets concurrently with the training group on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:45pm at RunTex Riverside. Further information on the USA Track and Field club can be found here.

RunSmart Clinic and Certification Program: The Level One program is a four hour clinic that presents a broad overview of the concepts underlying the RunSmart program. Topics include:
- Biomechanics/form
- Strength-Plyometrics-Drills
- Recovery-Centered Training
Seminar registration can be found at http://runsmart.eventbrite.com. The Level Two program expands on the concepts of the Level One program and is geared towards athletes and coaching certification.
